iMessage for business pricing: every provider, per line

Here are ten business iMessage providers that publish their prices, per line, per sender or per account: what each one costs, read on its own pricing page in October 2026, what a line can do for the money, and where Zuops fits.

    The short answer

A hosted iMessage line, where the company runs the iPhone or Mac for you, costs about $100 to $300 a month: Sendblue $100 (people text you first), LoopMessage $104.99 with a phone number and texting first, Blue Reacher $249 and Blooio $289. Apps that use your own Mac or iPhone cost about $19 to $39 a month for a line or an account. Zuops numbers also run on your own Mac, and iMessage is free: no fee per number and no cap on how many you connect.

    Every provider, side by side

The price that matters is a line that can start a conversation, with a number of its own. That isn't always the headline price: some plans share a number between customers, answer only people who write first, or charge extra to text first.

Monthly billing, in dollars as each company lists them, read on its own pricing page on October 23, 2026. A line here is a dedicated number that can start conversations where the plan allows it; Sendblue's $100 line is inbound-first, with outbound on Enterprise (custom). One-time fees are not included.

Hosted lines or your own Mac

Hosted providers supply the line: the Apple device and Apple ID behind it are theirs, and they keep it running. You get a line on day one and never touch hardware, which is why a line costs $100 to $300 a month. The number is usually theirs, and most of them are APIs you connect to a CRM or build on.

The other way is a Mac you already own, signed in to Messages with your iPhone's number. Texts come from the number your customers already have saved, and the price drops to $19 to $39 a month a line or account elsewhere, or $0 on Zuops. The trade is that the Mac has to stay on and plugged in; if it's off, texts wait until it's back.

    • Pick hosted if you have no Mac to spare, or you're building on an API
    • Pick your own Mac if you want your own number and want to stop paying per line

    What pushes the price up

    • Texting first: LoopMessage charges $30 a month a sender for Init conversations; Sendblue's outbound is on Enterprise
    • A phone number: LoopMessage adds $15 a month a sender
    • Setup: Blue Reacher $449 (waived on annual), Project Blue $250 (credited back), Sendara $99, Blooio $75 for a custom area code
    • Volume tiers: Blooio drops to $195 a line at 6+, Blue Reacher to $199 at 4+, Project Blue to $200 at 11+, myCRMSIM to $19 at 11+
    • Extras: FaceTime audio is $99 a line a month at Blue Reacher on monthly billing; LoopMessage's WhatsApp is $10 a month

Every plan has a daily limit

    FAQ

    Questions

How much does iMessage for business cost?

A hosted line is about $100 to $300 a month (Sendblue $100, LoopMessage $104.99 with a number and texting first, Blue Reacher $249, Blooio $289). Using your own Mac it's $19 to $39 a month a line or account at most providers, and $0 on Zuops.

Is there a free iMessage API?

For testing: LoopMessage's Sandbox (5 contacts), Sendblue's Free Sandbox (10 verified contacts, no outbound) and Linq's Hobby plan (20 contacts) are $0. Linq's Pro plan starts at $260 a month.

Can I text from my own phone number?

With your own Mac, yes: it texts from the number signed in to Messages. Hosted providers usually give you a number of theirs; LoopMessage charges $15 a month for one.

Do iMessages need A2P 10DLC registration?

No. LoopMessage notes that SMS rules (10DLC, toll-free, short codes) don't apply to iMessage, and Sendblue lists $0 for A2P registration. Regular texts from a business number still need it.

Why do hosted lines cost so much more?

Each hosted line runs on Apple hardware and an Apple ID the company provides and keeps running for you. With your own Mac, you already own the hardware.
